Early in her career she was the Workers' Compensation Division Manager of Quality Control for a major insurance company. Her job duties included reviewing and writing detailed internal audit reports, managing a team of auditors, negotiating and disputing potential state penalty assessments, and assessing the overall performance of the company's Workers' Compensation Department. In addition, she authored an Internal Audit Operations Manual and created a policy and structure outline.

Deb is currently a part-time Legal Research Analyst in the field of Workers' Compensation and a full time writer.
